The Volkswagen Club of the Philippines was organized in 1985. A group of eight enthusiasts got together and established the VW Karmann Registry. In 1992, the name was changed to the Volkswagen Club of the Philippines, for practical reasons.

          The VW Club is the most active car club in the Philippines. The regular official meetings are scheduled every first Saturday of the month, but it has been the habit of most members, to meet every Saturday night for socials, informal discussions, exchange of information and scrutineering of their cars. Aside from the meetings, numerous and varied club activities are undertaken.
